Theoretical study of dielectrically coated metallic nanowires

摘要: The interaction of light with nanometer scale diameter single and multiple silver nanowires, coated externally a dielectric material, is studied the finite-difference time-domain method. As would be expected, surface plasmon polariton resonance positions for nanowires shift to red as thickness coating increased. In case however, we find that effect similar bringing bare closer together, i.e., it leads greater intensities between wires more complex spectra.
