摘要: The magnetization and electric polarization in thin bismuth ferrite films (BFO) have been under extensive study for high technological potential of single-phase multiferroic materials. Surpassing the antiferromagnetic nature weak magneto-electric coupling bulk BFO has required highly specialized substrates epitaxial growth methods so far. Polycrystalline (50–500 nm thick) were grown by atomic layer deposition (ALD) on technologically simple Pt/SiO2/Si substrates. found to exhibit strong saturating ferromagnetism coercivity at temperatures ranging from cryogenic room temperature even with 500 thick layers, a property which cannot be obtained or BFO. mechanism was associated magnetic domain wall dynamics collapsing helimagnetic spin modulation. properties strongly dependent film thickness. crystallization, compositio...
