摘要: The study developed management instructions for even-aged Pinus sylvestris stands in Galicia (north-western Spain). Although these are highly productive, no silvicultural schedules have been proposed so far them on the basis of systematic analyses. This used data from 2160 optimisation runs to develop instructions. Land expectation value was as objective function. Different prices timber assortments were considered and discounting rate varied 0.5 5%. method employed find optimal combination a stand simulator an algorithm. uses earlier growth yield model predict future development with given schedule while algorithm seeks best among all possible alternatives. results show that rotation lengths vary widely between 42 170 years, high rates good site quality resulting shortest rotations. Four thinnings found be suitable sites rates. With higher than 1% commercial should gradually decrease basal area towards end rotation.
