摘要: I. HUBER AND S. SELENSKA-POBELL. 1994. The genomes of several Rhizobium galegae (of.) strains, which effectively nodulate Galega officinalis host, were analysed by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE). Individual PFGE-fingerprints obtained for every particular strain when the rarely cutting restriction endonucleases SpeI and AsnI applied. In hybridization experiments, where a DNA fragment carrying rrnB ribosomal RNA operon Escherichia coli was used as probe, number resulting strain-specific bands reduced to three all strains studied. This suggests that in Rh. there are at least rrn loci. On basis lengths fragments, separated PFGE, genome size five estimated be 5852 ± 198 kbp.
