摘要: AbstractIntroduction. Despite substantial progress in modernising neurosurgery, the specialty still tops list of medico-legal claims. Understanding factors associated with negligence claims is vital if we are to identify areas underperformance and subsequently improve patient safety. Here provide data on trends neurosurgical over a 10-year period England. Methods. We used provided by National Health Service Litigation Authority analyse related neurosurgery from financial years 2002/2003 2011/2012. Using abstracts provided, extracted information pertaining underlying pathology, injury severity, nature misadventure claim value. Results. Over period, annual number increased significantly.
