摘要: Objectives To determine whether pharmacy-based cardiovascular disease (CVD) screening reached the desired population, local population's awareness of pharmacy and views service users general public about CVD screening. Methods Pharmacy staff, located in one English Primary Care Trust providing a service, issued questionnaires to who had undergone screening. Face-to-face street surveys were conducted with members within vicinity each participating pharmacy. Key findings A total 259 people screened first 6 months provision, 97 whom (37.4%) completed evaluation questionnaire. In addition, 261 non-service participated surveys. Most respondents among both non-users at least risk factor for disease, including smoking lack exercise. Responses statements regarding showed high level agreement need groups. However, significantly more (90.7%) agreed that was good place compared (77.4%; P < 0.005). Likewise fewer should be only carried out by doctors (10.3 25.3% non-users; The overall majority 96 (99.7%) positive experience agreeing they given enough time pharmacists made them feel ease. Only 9% aware and, although (78.4%) willing pharmacy, this lower males than females (69.9 82.7%; Perceived concerns confidentiality privacy barriers identified taking up screening. Conclusion Pharmacy-based is acceptable public. Its uptake could improved through increased addressing promotional activities.
