摘要: Objective  To systematically review feedback from pharmacy users on their perceptions and experiences of health-related advice services provided community pharmacies. Methods  The focus the was activities in relation to promoting health well-being, preventing ill-health maintaining health. Searches were conducted for peer-reviewed (international) non-peer-reviewed (UK) research. Electronic databases searched included MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library International Pharmaceutical Abstracts; hand searches key journals conference abstracts, informants. Key informants UK contacted identify unpublished studies. inclusion period 1990 onwards. Data extraction synthesis  Data abstracted into a matrix by one author with sample checked second. Health Development Agency's Evidence Base 2000 standards evidence categories used Department National Service Frameworks applied each item. Main results  Seven peer reviewed papers 13 non-peer reports identified review. Consumer usage pharmacies is almost universal prescription supplies purchase over counter medicines predominating. shows that not only low general advice, but pharmacists are perceived as ‘drugs experts’ rather than experts illness. Emergency hormonal contraception head lice management schemes have been well received. There need consider privacy confidentiality surrounding giving. Conclusions  Users pharmacy-based development initiatives express high level satisfaction. If be full extent, then actions extending public's awareness acceptance pharmacist's role giving will crucial. Further research needed measure any change premises perception pharmacies.
