摘要: Summary Injection of local anaesthetic solution around the palmar nerves at base proximal sesamoid bones is typically considered to desensitise structures distal this location. There has been recent research investigating potential for diffusion resulting in desensitisation other than those intended. This case series describes lame horses that respond block but have pathology within suspensory ligament branches, aspect third metacarpal bone and/or as seen with high field magnetic resonance imaging.
