摘要: Lameness originating from the metacarpo(tarso)phalangeal (MP) joint has a significant effect on use and athletic competitiveness of horse. The identification cause lameness MP can be challenging, given limitations radiography, ultrasonography, nuclear scintigraphy. Our purpose was to describe injury types incidence in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies 40 horses with attributable region where it not possible reach clinically plausible diagnosis using other modalities. Horses were examined 1.5 T magnet (Siemens Medical Solutions) under general anesthesia. frequency occurrence MR lesions subchondral bone (19), straight or oblique distal sesamoidean desmitis (13), articular cartilage osteoarthritis (eight), suspensory branch (seven), osteochondral fragmentation proximal sesamoid inter-sesamoidean (four), deep digital flexor tendonitis collateral (three), superficial (two), enostosis-like phalanx MCIII palmar annular ligament (one), dystrophic calcification lateral extensor tendon (one). Twenty-five had multiple abnormalities. MRI provided information that complementary scintigraphy allowed for comprehensive evaluation all structures horses.
