摘要: Interaction between a vaccine and drug has been reported only with influenza four drugs (aminopyrine, phenytoin sodium, theophylline, warfarin sodium), BCG theophylline. Some of these interactions still are unconfirmed. The underlying mechanism the interaction is thought to be due (as an interferon-inducer) inactivating hepatic cytochrome P-450 system; this results in depressed metabolism reduced clearance. Because nonspecific it could occur other vaccines possible that vaccine-drug unrecognized. clinical significance not fully determined; available evidence suggests adverse reactions or theophylline rare after vaccination their possibility should deter physicians from vaccinating those elderly patients at risk influenza. Physicians should, however, monitor response medication immediate period following case reaction occurs.
