摘要: A new cellular automaton model for solar flares is presented in which a complex coronal magnetic field stressed by photospheric shear. The minimum current corona used to describe the slow buildup and sudden release of stress field. Stress takes form currents flowing along field's network separators; it released reconnection. By this we show how reconnection can occur as an avalanche, releasing extended region separator network. exhibits self-organized criticality; thus sizes avalanches are distributed according power law. Flare durations peak emission levels also laws, with different exponents. Because derived from application magnetohydrodynamics field, possible assign physical its avalanches. These agree well frequencies observed flares. total all agrees observation therefore below inferred heating power.
