摘要: This paper explores the complex social, economic, and political interplay that takes place between subsistence wage economies, sharing reciprocity, regulatory regimes now mediate Aboriginal community access to wildlife resources. By focusing on subsistence, with its equally important social economic attributes, this article argues harvesting, processing, distribution of wild foods resources continues be a central component Canada's northern economy. concludes by arguing any attempt develop effective policy in future must account for complexity heterogeneity remain open plurality forms they may take.
