摘要: Over the past decade, there has been an astounding proliferation and availability of data in health care used to evaluate processes provider performance. The lexicon evolved such that value-based purchasing, evidence-based medicine, comparative effectiveness, pay for performance now reform have tangible implications practice medicine. Transparency information many laudable goals including facilitation informed decisionmaking both caregivers patients, enabling evaluations best models, providing quality assurance allowing rigorous analyses interventions clinical practice. However, are also concerns about potential misuse unintended consequences may arise from public reporting outcomes without well conceived strategic planning.
