Russia's political discourse on the EU’s energy transition (2014–2019) and its effect on EU-Russia energy relations

摘要: Abstract Four interpretations of the EU's energy transition can be identified in Russia's political discourse 2014–2019 based on matrix that combines realist and liberal approaches to relations denial or recognition climate change. The cross-cutting idea these is Russia follows market logics, whereas EU either politicises chooses economically unreasonable options. Most Russian actors advance all four parallel. A interpretation, which recognises change, became dominant towards end examined period. Two main policy options are shaped by transition: maintaining status quo EU-Russian gas trade diversifying export markets. reveals a strong ideational difference with future policies, poorly engages post-2030 planning.
