摘要: Over the last two decades, there has been an increase in number of natural hazards which have culminated catastrophic consequences, severely impacting on people and livelihoods. In response to this escalation, Swiss Natural Hazards Competence Centre (CENAT) organized a workshop entitled "RISK21" at Centro Stefano Franscini, Monte Verita, Ascona, Switzerland from 28 November 3 December, 2004. More than 50 risk experts nine countries participated, drawn research institutions, private industry, governmental agencies non-governmental organizations. The focused different aspects management, highlighted current drawbacks, discussed possible ways reducing disaster risk. themes addressed included economic, technical social issues related impact, analysis assessment, perception aversion, dialogue sustainable management.
