摘要: Respiratory chain complex II has been extensively studied but little is known about its assembly and the role of heme group. Mutations in phylogenetically conserved histidine 127 SDHC subunit have shown to abrogate binding yeast bacteria without impairing or enzymatic activities. Here we show that mammalian cells these mutations lead a complete reduction mitochondria, destabilisation SDHD SDHB, an abrogation activities, suggesting more than lower organisms.
