摘要: The kisspeptin-GPR54 signaling complex is a key gatekeeper of human sexual maturation. Kisspeptins, encoded by the KISS1 gene, constitute powerful stimulus for gonadotropin-releasing hormone-induced gonadotropin secretion. In addition, gene target regulation gonadal steroids in both sexes. increase hypothalamic kisspeptin expression at puberty believed to contribute maturation reproductive axis. Homozygous or compound heterozygous loss-of-function mutations GPR54 have been identified familial and sporadic patients with isolated hypogonadotropic hypogonadism without olfactory abnormalities. mice targeted deletions Kiss1 Gpr54 similar failure Study these provides an important contribution understanding role kisspeptin/GPR54 system control development function.
