Character Strengths Lead to Satisfactory Educational Outcomes Through Strength Use: A Longitudinal Analysis.

摘要: Despite the flourishing of positive education, understanding whether different character strengths have predictive effects on academic achievement/well-being and mechanisms actions between are limited. Specifically, this study adopted strength use as a mediator to understand how (assessed by caring, inquisitiveness, self-control) is associated with students' end-of-year achievements eudaimonic well-being. Survey data from 349 adolescents three schools showed that factors correlations Regression models indicated inquisitiveness self-control predicted achievements, while well-being, foremost strongest predictor. Mediation analyses (1) fully mediated relationship self-control, achievements/eudaimonic (2) caring had direct effect These findings provided possible explanations could affect or well-being theoretical empirical evidence for practices aim enhance developments via interventions based strengths.
