摘要: Abstract Alteration of Rh o (D)-antigen expression in Rh-positive erythrocytes after modification membrane fluidity has recently been demonstrated by indirect fluorescence staining. The isolation D-antigen from Rh-negative erythrocyte membranes also claimed. We therefore attempted quantification sites modified and cells the direct radiolabelled ( 125 I) antibody uptake technique. cholesterol/phospholipid molar ratio was with resulting membrane-cholesterol enrichment or depletion. I-anti-D doubled enriched erythrocytes, decreased depleted erythrocytes. No change anti-D could be shown for similarly modified. If mechanism enhanced cholesterol is vertical displacement antigen, our inability to unmask suggests that it deeply buried lipid matrix.
