摘要: Abstract High resolution electron-energy-loss spectroscopy has been used to study the surface vibrations of CO on a W(100) at 300 K. For small exposures (β-CO) two losses ∼68 meV and ∼78 are observed. This vibrational spectrum β-CO is clear indication dissociative adsorption with carbon oxygen atoms in fourfold coordination sites each. With further exposure additional 45 258 observed, which represent vibration undissociated α-CO upright position top W atom. Furtheron results coadsorption H 2 /CO O reported.
