摘要: Dairy goats are important for the supply of high quality proteins in milk through conversion feed from noncompetitive sources. Significance production less developed countries is growing. Goats third ranking source milk, but these produce approximately 52% world goat milk. Given gross composition breeds tropics, comparisons with buffalo and cows, size fat globules, amino acid casein, nitrogen distribution normal fatty composition, mineral vitamin contents. Intakes dry matter as percent adult body weight tropical, imported, European were 3.3, 3.6, 4.6%. Milk yields 280, 577, 1,476 kg lactation lengths 199, 221, 455 days. Efficiency dependent on yields. protein compared to meat discussed. Development by small farmers tropics can complement commercialized cows alleviation undernutrition malnutrition.
