摘要: In the course of ageing, biochemical characteristics mammalian skeletal muscle are shown to become altered mainly within system energy metabolism. The enzymatic behaviour myofibrillar proteins remains virtually unchanged throughout life, but a gradual loss fibres causes decrease in musculae strength. Working capacity, however, terms prolonged muscular work is considerably reduced with age, because less efficient Enzymes, particularly Krebs cycle, show diminished specific activities, and consequently, ATP phosphocreatine concentrations lowered. Possible primary secondary factors responsible for these changes discussed.
