摘要: The antifungal activity and the chemical composition of essential oils (EOs) from some Mediterranean autochthonous plants were investigated against Malassezia pachydermatis, a fastidious opportunistic yeast usually involved in canine external otitis. Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) Anthemis nobilis, Citrus limon, paradisi, Illicium verum, Lavandula hybrida, Mentha piperita, Ocimum basilicum, Origanum vulgare, majorana, Rosmarinus officinalis, Salvia sclarea, Thymus serpillum assessed by microdilution test; minimum fungicidal (MFC) was also determined. O. T. basilicum showed lowest MIC MFC values (0.8%) followed C. limon M. piperita (1%). EOs tested variable degrees anti-malassezia activity, putatively related to their composition. effectiveness, manageability pleasant organoleptic properties serpillum, make them advisable as promising new natural drugs management pachydermatis otitis dog.
