摘要: The present thesis is a study of Subtitling for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (SDH) with special focus on Portuguese context. On one hand, it accounts descriptive analysis SDH in various European countries aim arriving at norms that govern practices may be found form guidelines / or actual subtitled products. other result an Action Research project aimed contributing towards improvement Portugal. These two lines research are brought together proposal set – Sistema de Legendagem vKv provision television. This positions itself within theoretical framework Translation Studies (TS) by taking approach to its subject. Nonetheless, takes step beyond seek reasons propose change rather than simply describe objects actions.
