摘要: A patient with immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (ITP) and chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection for 11 years was given immunosuppressive treatment because of an activation his ITP. After 6 weeks cyclophosphamide, cyclosporin cortisone the decided not to continue taking medication. One month later he readmitted hospital due fever, cough jaundice. Clinical investigation revealed condition be caused by HCV infection. It is concluded that, in parallel situation B, patients may lead increased viral replication, resulting severe liver damage when immunocompetence regained.
