摘要: One hundred and sixty-two subjects at three age levels were tested to examine the relationship between crystallized (Gc) fluid (Gf) abilities problem solving tasks varying in abstractness concreteness of their stimuli emphasis on past experience. It was predicted that difference correlations each these would increase with increased age. The hypotheses partially supported young elderly groups subjects. On using concrete stimuli, emphasizing experience, where no cross-sectional decline observed, Gc (relative Gf) accounted for an increasing proportion variance performance abstract de-emphasizing significant declines obtained, Gf Gc) correlated more highly performance.
