摘要: Summary Recent thinking in the area of adult cognitive development suggests that with adulthood comes an integration and consistency reasoning across affective domains. Given this theoretical framework current research supporting notion, we decided to extend into realm real world problem solving. The literature is replete studies manipulating experimenter-imposed variables assumed affect solving competence older adults. However, until recently, relatively little effort has focused on sensitivity dependent measures used capture possible developmental differences how individual structures reality approaches everyday problems. Thus, quantitative (i.e., number solutions, etc.) may obscure qualitative inherent solutions themselves. these issues, two were conducted which tasks require individuals either generate their own interpretations situations varying emotional saliency or endorse various strategies. In addition in, solving, examined difference, indices such as global ability, openness, experience, social desirability, possible, moderators variability performance. results, from will be discussed terms recent, theories development.
