摘要: Background: The Ilizarov technique has been used in the UK for last 20 years management of infected non-union long bones. This method uses fine wires inserted percutaneously which are attached and tensioned to provide a strong frame construct. majority tibial femoral non unions can be treated successfully by internal fixation. However, an tibia prove difficult problem. useful treating these complex injuries. Objectives: To assess whether new limb reconstruction centre comparable results. Patients Methods: Twelve patients (10 M: 2 F; Avg age 43.3 years) who had between March 2009 August 2010 with technique. Intervention was main outcome measures include functional radiological outcomes assessed using Association Study Application Methods (ASAMI) criteria, American Orthopaedic Foot Ankle Score (AOFAS) Visual Analogue Pain scores. Results: All twelve united. None required amputation. Mean time union 46 weeks (range 24 - 70/median 50). average follow up 62 (39 164/ median 59). According ASAMI score bone/radiological results ten were classed as excellent remainder being good. Functionally six graded excellent, four good two poor. AOFAS 83/100 (70 90) pain visual analogue scale (VAS) two. Conclusions: Our terms scores published literature. Furthermore, our return work is better than most European studies (63%). said they would have procedure again. We attribute this success partly multidisciplinary approach. recommend early referral dedicated unit if there any evidence non-union.
