摘要: This paper discusses moral panics over contemporary technology, or “technopanics.” I use the cyberporn panic of 1996 and online predators MySpace to demonstrate links between media coverage content legislation. In both cases, Internet legislation is directly linked media-fueled that concern uses technology deemed harmful children. particular interest right now as a new internet bill, Deleting Online Predators Act (DOPA), being debated in Congress.
