摘要: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect individual‐based, firm‐based, and market factors on job retention, basing its hypotheses human capital theory signaling models.Design/methodology/approach By collecting secondary data 180 employees who left their jobs at one firm interviewing resource managers those for other jobs, determining decision stay with a certain period were investigated. Hierarchical regression analyses performed test hypothesized relationships.Findings Marriage, gender, honored employee status, relative pay (both inter‐firm intra‐firm wages), speed promotion, economic cycles had significant impact how long retained but education level individual performance did not.
