摘要: Objective: To evaluate whether the coexistence of chronic hypertension and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is characterized by a greater impairment carbohydrate metabolism than GDM alone. Methods: Carbohydrate eight women with hypertensive 15 normotensive was evaluated in third trimester using oral glucose tolerance test (GTT) hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp technique. Controls were ten normotensive, glucose-tolerant, pregnant trimester. Results: Insulin sensitivity approximately twofold lower those only (1.54 ± 0.35 versus 4.15 0.31, P < .001) fivefold controls 7.65 0.66, .001). Women concomitant had higher insulin levels response to GTT (P .001 repeated measures analysis variance). In all subjects, mean arterial pressure (MAP) strong negative correlation maternal (r = −0.62, Significant also found between percent body fat −0.53, .002). Those regressions still significant when adjusted for MAP. Conclusion: Gravidas are more resistant alone. Blood pressure, population normal abnormal metabolism, stronger predictor resistance adiposity.
