Danube Cruise Tourism as a Niche Product—An Overview of the Current Supply and Potential

摘要: Tourism in the 21st century is being re-shaped by constant changes consumer trends. The Danube, Europe’s second-longest river, has rich potential for tourism over its whole course, and river cruises offer superb opportunities to explore. This study aims provide a comprehensive picture of most important characteristics cruise on Danube. In our research, literature review (LR) content analysis (CA) were used examine trends inland waterway sector, which, despite growing interest product, still not deemed be part mass tourism. Danube relies heavily alternative (niche) features, which satisfy both cultural authentic preferences. Currently, many elements niche are missing from product supply, but, with modest addition such demand could increase economic performance period following expected recession would enhanced.
