摘要: Abstract Acetylcholine is a major excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system of insects. Using DNA probes Torpedo nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (AChR) we have isolated two overlapping cDNA clones encoding putative neuronal AChR protein from fruitfly, Drosophila melanogaster. The predicted mature consists 497 amino acids, has calculated mol. wt 57 340 and shows extensive homology to known subunits different species along its entire acid sequence. Northern analysis revealed hybridizing mRNA 3.2 kb late embryo pupae. Expression corresponding gene thus characterizes periods differentiation Drosophila.
