摘要: Abstract Glucocorticoids secreted in response to stress activation of the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis feed back onto hypothalamus rapidly suppress neuroendocrine activation, including oxytocin and vasopressin secretion. Here we provide a brief review focused on our recent findings rapid glucocorticoid-induced opposing regulation glutamate γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) inputs magnocellular neurons via release distinct retrograde messengers. The hormone corticosterone its synthetic analogue dexamethasone elicit endocannabinoids by activating novel membrane-associated, G protein-coupled receptor parvocellular cells hypothalamic paraventricular supraoptic nuclei. also cause an unknown messenger that facilitates presynaptic GABA cells. These finding suggest there is strict synapse-specific segregation actions two retrogradely released Thus, combined glucocorticoids synaptic inhibition would be expected, therefore, mediate feedback secretion during axis.
