摘要: Bilateral adrenalectomy (ADRX) in rats removes the source of two major stress-responsive hormones, corticosterone and epinephrine. To test how ADRX withstand stress, we performed following experiments adult male provided with indwelling femoral arterial venous cannulae either or sham-adrenalectomized (Sham) 3 days later given 0.5% NaCl to drink. Five 6 after adrenal surgery were studied a 15 ml/kg.5 min hemorrhage an overnight fast followed by insulin-induced hypoglycemia. In fed unstressed rats, basal mean blood pressure was slightly decreased; heart rate increased; volume, vasopressin, oxytocin concentrations not different from sham values; renin norepinephrine significantly elevated. The recovery similar that group over 5-h period; however, responses vasopressin greater, those markedly potentiated group. Heart recovered faster elevated, compared value, for most period. Restitution volume attenuated group, although restitution plasma protein between groups. A significant difference change osmolality groups may account volume. After fast, which reduced both concentration rose still further rats; differences other measured variables observed remained same. 50% decrease glucose caused minor effects on occasioned magnitudes We conclude absence adrenals, restore remarkably well through potentiation vasoactive neural hormonal systems. these studies marked response suggests renin-angiotensin system be important maintenance reductions
