摘要: Aims: The aim of this study was to assess whether surgical decompression nerves in the lower extremity people with painful diabetic polyneuropathy would have an effect on health-related quality life and determine minimal clinically important differences pain scores. Methods: design a randomized controlled trial which 42 participants neuroapthy underwent unilateral their left or right leg, using other leg as control, 12 months follow-up. Surgical performed at tibial, superficial, deep common peroneal nerves. Preoperatively, 6 post operatively, visual analogue scale for 36 item short-form health survey EuroQual 5 Dimensions questionnaires were completed. Results: At follow-up, significantly reduced, but surgery did not alter scores. difference reduction determined 2.9 points decrease, threshold reached by 42.5% population. Conclusions: Although does influence life, it achieves relevant ~42.5% peripheral neuropathy. It can therefore be considered patients who do adequately respond medication.
