摘要: ABSTRACT: Our objective was to determine whether the presence of motility in surgically obtained sperm samples improves fertilization and pregnancy rates for patients undergoing vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic injection (IVF/ICSI). This a retrospective study hospital-based infertility center. Sixty-seven couples with diagnosis azoospermia or severe oligozoospermia who had undergone retrieval procedure conjunction 100 IVF/ICSI cycles from 1995 2004 were evaluated. The impact on clinical determined. motile nonmotile groups differed number mature oocytes retrieved (10.7 ± 5.8 vs 13.4 6.0), but (56.7% 59.1%) embryo cryopreservation (35.9% 39.3%) statistically similar. Clinical did not differ between (38.5%) (31.2%) groups, nor they obstructive nonobstructive (35.3% 26.7%). There also no statistical difference testicular epididymal aspiration 26.7%), although significantly more likely be than (100% 39.3%, P < .0001). Epididymal is produce retrieval. use samples, however, does appear enhance rates.
