摘要: Prezygotic interspecific crossability barrier in the genus Cucumis is related to ploidy level of species (cucumber (C. sativus), x = 7; muskmelon melo) and wild species, 12). Polyploidization maternal plants helps hybridization among other by overcoming prezygotic genetic barriers. The main objective this paper compare results several methods supporting crosses cucumber without with polyploidization (comparison between diploid (2x) mixoploid (2x/4x) plants). Mixoploid were obtained after vivo vitro colchicine oryzalin. Ploidy was estimated flow cytometry. Embryo rescue, pollination, isolation mesophyll protoplast tested compared. Positive effect observed during all experiments presented higher regeneration capacity cultivated embryos, ovules, protoplasts. Nevertheless, hybrid character putative accessions cross pollination not confirmed.
