摘要: Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by reduced bone mass and abnormal architecture; patients with osteoporosis are predisposed to fractures after minimal trauma. Osteopenia refers low (more than 2 standard deviations below mean peak levels). Essentially all have osteopenia; however, many people osteopenia do not go on develop fractures. Low clearly the most important risk factor for really what physician seeks when assessing other factors. The issue so much patient’s osteoporosis, but rather developing or already having osteopenia, which in turn indicates an increased (but inevitable occurrence) of osteoporotic fracture.
