Clinical Assessment for Osteopenia and Osteoporosis

摘要: Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by reduced bone mass and abnormal architecture; patients with osteoporosis are predisposed to fractures after minimal trauma. Osteopenia refers low (more than 2 standard deviations below mean peak levels). Essentially all have osteopenia; however, many people osteopenia do not go on develop fractures.
