摘要: There is no universally accepted definition of what an incidental finding [Wolf et al., 2008] and broadly speaking this could include variants known unknown clinical significance, linked to highly penetrant, serious, life-threatening conditions, non-paternity or ancestry data. For the purposes our study, we have adopted a pragmatic distinction between ‘pertinent’ ‘incidental’ findings as set out in text. Whilst US definitions are becoming practice [Green 2013] it still not how whether these also apply elsewhere around world.
