摘要: Acute inflammatory activation of macrophages by Toll-like and related receptors is characterized transient MAPK-, NF-κB- IRF-mediated signaling pathways expression pro-inflammatory genes. This state inherently unstable often transitions into a 'tolerance' diminished signaling, repressive chromatin modifications, an alternative gene program. Viewpoint describes epigenetic mechanisms associated with transition to tolerant states, which are proposed correspond states programmed the original stimuli.
