摘要: Introduction: An evaluation was made of the connective tissue reaction in rats after subcutaneous implantation methacrylate resin-based sealers (EndoREZ [Ultradent Products, Inc, South Jordan, UT] with a polymerization accelerator and RealSeal [Sybron Dental Specialties, Orange, CA]) Pulp Canal Sealer (Sybron Specialties), zinc oxide eugenol-based sealer used as control. Methods: Silicone tubes containing test materials were implanted 24 Wistar rats. Solid silicone rods same size served negative controls. After 10, 30, 90 days, animals (n =8 per period) euthanized implants surrounding tissues dissected processed for routine histological evaluation. A four-category system to measure record microscopic observations according thickness fibrous capsule, vascular changes, various types inflammatory cells. Results: Initially, severe observed soft direct contact both EndoREZ/Accelerator Real Seal. The severity decreased over time resolved at end experiment. showed all observation periods. controls an initial mild moderate reaction. 30 healthy observed, which increased time. 10 no statistically significant differences between experimental groups observed. EndoREZ significantly less toxic than (p > 0.05). Conclusions: resinbased considered biologically acceptable when rat. remained duration study. (J Endod 2010;36:1574–1579)
