摘要: Two major conceptions of educational achievement are characterized: as basic skills, and facts versus higher order skills advanced knowledge. The impact such on the topics pursued by researchers, ways teachers think about their teaching, public's view goals noted. In addition, author argues that present dominant inadequate given importance they have. More adequate need to (a) integrate divergent views achievement, (b) carry clear instructional implications, (c) focus long-term education
