摘要: Abstract Background The limited availability of proton beam therapy (PBT) requires individual treatment selection strategies, such as based on normal tissue complication probability (NTCP). We developed and externally validated NTCP models for common acute side-effects following PBT in brain tumour patients effort to provide guidance optimising patient quality life. Methods An exploration cohort including 113 adult who underwent was investigated the endpoints: alopecia, scalp erythema, headache, fatigue nausea. Dose–volume parameters associated tissues were used logistic regression modelling. Statistically significant showing high area under receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) values internal cross-validation two cohorts 71 96 patients, respectively. Results correlations dose–volume skin erythema alopecia found. In cross-validation, prognostic selected: V35Gy (absolute volume receiving 35 Gy) grade ≥1, D2% (dose 2% volume) ≥1 D5% ≥2. Validation successful both with AUC >0.75. A bivariable model could not be externally. No seen headache or Conclusion successfully primary treated PBT.
