摘要: The Renland ice core from East Greenland covers a full glacial cycle the Holocene into previous Eem interglacial. first northern hemispheric record of both anions (Cl - , NO 3 SO 4 2- CH ), cations (Na + NH K Mg 2+ Ca total amount insoluble dust and acidity (measured as solid electrical conductivity) is extracted this in continuous profiles between 10 120 ka b.p. 19th century. ions measured are balance during interglacials but there large deficiency period. alkaline most parts period totally dominating ion therefore probably due to carbonates (not measured). concentration impurities higher stages than interglacials. largest increase found for crustally derived (up factor 10) while sea salt elements only slightly enhanced (less 2). with strong biogenic component generally lower A simple model tests effect changes physical conditions atmosphere influencing transport deposition processes keeping source area production rate constant. results show that increased concentrations observed some can be explained entirely by deposition, decrease others may indicate change emissions. content if rather emission responsible variations core. Thus, have impact on radiative properties climate forcing mechanism dynamics atmosphere. However, better understanding hydrological general circulation has attained able interpret influences global changed composition data. DOI: 10.1034/j.1600-0889.1994.t01-4-00005.x
