摘要: The oxidative coupling of methane on magnesium oxide (MgO) has been studied in the presence carbon tetrachloride (TCM) as a gas-phase additive. Addition small amount TCM to reactant stream improves selectivity C2H4, while conversion is not influenced by X-ray photoelectron spectra used MgO reveal formation chlorine species catalyst surface quantities up 0.20 Cl/Mg (atomic ratio), although diffraction show only and content bulk phase estimated fluorescence analysis very low. It concluded that enhancement C2H4 primarily results from species. chlorinated identified MgCl2.
