摘要: The fact that VEGF is so precisely regulated a testament to its central role in tumor angiogenesis, progression, and metastasis. upstream pathways regulate expression are valid targets for therapy as long those have some growth. Although it theoretically possible argeting an molecule could inhibit expression, the redundancies make success of this approach unlikely. However, dominant pathway leads induction (e.g. VHL or HIF) inhibition may lead significant reductions levels angiogenesis tumors. Careful preclinical modeling clinical trial design will provide insights into efficacy inhibiting with intent decreasing angiogenesis.
