摘要: Abstract Increasingly, the sociospatialities of political behaviour is a topic growing debate across social sciences. This paper contributes to this as it relates boundedness and fluidity behaviours, specifically by addressing calls from scientists for closer engagement between science geography over “the great implications spatialization” research ( Ethington McDaniel, 2007 , 130). Here, we critically evaluate one theoretical approach identified these spatialising on topic: new institutionalism. We begin clarifying differing conceptions spatialisation in geographic literatures their compatibility with then show how substantive institutional conducted European Union can be used prospects McDaniel’s cross-disciplinary agenda. Our analysis confirms scope potential institutionalist studies, demonstrating fluidities behaviours predicated post-structural accounts place space come ‘fixed’ within certain ‘sticky’ places. Consequently, argue that spatialised institutionalism offers promising conceptual methodological possibilities developing collaborations placing spacing behaviours.
