摘要: ABSTRACT Evidence for the presence in lysyl oxidase of a carbonyl cofactor with properties an o-quinone is reviewed, taking note potent inhibition this enzyme by 1,2-diamines. Studies copper-depleted indicate possible interactions between metal ion and cofactor. The marked stimulation non-enzymatic amine oxidation various free quinones emphasizes importance copper-quinone quinoenzymes.
