摘要: Adenovirus DNA polymerase (AdPol) exists as a complex with the preterminal protein (pTP) and is essential for both initiation elongation stages of viral replication. Recent evidence from our laboratory indicates that AdPol phosphoprotein major in vivo phosphorylation site, serine 67, occurs within consensus substrate recognition sequence cdc2 kinases. In this study, we found kinase which also exhibits histone H1 activity stably associated AdPol. forms multimeric pTP HeLa cells infected adenovirus or coinfected recombinant vaccinia viruses encoding pTP. The p34cdc2 phosphorylate at same sites are utilized vivo, suggesting related may be involved Serine 67 one vitro sites, substitution alanine position abolishes replication
